6 Blog And Social Media Content Ideas For May For Your Small Business

Every month we send out a Creative Content Calendar for free - all you have to do is sign up for our mailing list. It has all the National Awareness Days and events that you could use as a springboard for your content on social media, blogging and pitching to the press. Want to know how to use these for your marketing? We wrote a blog called How to use national awareness days for your content creation which will help get you started.

Here are 6 ideas for content that you can use in May:

NATIONAL TEACHER DAY (2nd)

Everyone loves to read a story so share yours today. Think back to a teacher that helped you on your journey to what you are today. Alternatively, share how negative feedback spurred you on.

THE CORONATION (6th)

Even if you're not supporting the Coronation, your customers may be. Share red, white, and blue products, anything linked to the royal family or a photo of the King. If you are not celebrating it is probably a good idea not to share your thoughts.

WORLD LAUGHTER DAY (7th)

Tell a joke linked to your business. Don't have one? Google or even Chat GPT is your friend.

WORLD FAIRTRADE DAY (13th)

Share anything within your business that is eco; from fairtrade to using less waste. Today is a good opportunity to remind your audience of your values and ethics.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK (15th-21st)

Share mental health charities this week, to help anyone who may be struggling with their mental health. This could be a listicle post so you can share more than one.

NATIONAL NOTEBOOK DAY (18th)

Take a photo of your desk and share how you work. From your notepad, and diary to your desktop; people love to see behind the scenes.
