6 Blog And Social Media Content Ideas For September For Your Small Business

Every month we send out a Creative Content Calendar for free - all you have to do is sign up for our mailing list. It has all the National Awareness Days and events that you could use as a springboard for your content on social media, blogging and pitching to the press. Want to know how to use these for your marketing? We wrote a blog called How to use national awareness days for your content creation which will help get you started.

Here are 6 ideas for content that you can use in September:

SECONDHAND SEPTEMBER (all month):

Share advice for buying sustainable, secondhand fashion and homewares. This can seem odd if you are selling new items so you may wish to talk about what to do with your products when someone has finished with them. Maybe set up a Sell Again group for your brand.

SWAP IDEAS DAY (10th):

Share a great piece of advice on a topic linked to your industry and encourage your audience to do the same. Then create a roundup of all the great ideas in your Stories or as a carousel post.

NATIONAL DAY OF ENCOURAGEMENT (12th):

Take the time to support your audience today by encouraging them to do something brave. Link it to your product by mentioning the pain point that stops them from buying and create a post that gives them the tools to feel better.

NATIONAL WORKING PARENTS DAY (16th):

Share a personal story about juggling work with parenting. Your audience will relate to this, growing their loyalty.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER'S DAY (17th):

Create a post sharing new ideas for social media, our hacks and advice. If you're not a social media manager you can still create content today - share your other accounts and ask for a follow or create a funny Instagram vs. reality post sharing the reality behind your brand.

WORLD GRATITUDE DAY (21st):

Share what you are thankful for - it could be for your family or peers who support you, for a teacher who encouraged you or even a piece of positive feedback from your audience. Get personal and specific to share your story to inspire others.
