6 Types Of Content Posts To Grow Your Instagram Engagement

Today we wanted to share 6 types of posts that you can share on Instagram (or indeed any social platform). We share all of these, in different amounts depending on the phase we are in at the time. By this I mean - the awareness phase, the lead generation phase, the launch phase or the implementation phase of a product/service.

1. Inspiration

Inspiration is anything from giving the customer some ideas for a project, to sharing what inspired you to create what you do. It can be based around National Awareness Days or events. It can be a photo or a quote. The main objective is to make them stop in their tracks and look at your post. Remember that they have found this by searching for a hashtag so make sure you deliver!

2. Education

Use your image or Reel to offer tips or advice. A carousel will give you space to share more than one tip or stage. A Reel can be used for 30 seconds to share some quick advice.

3. Values

This is where you share what is important to you as a brand, or as a person. This way your customer can see this and if they feel the same, are likely to follow you.

4. Personal

This is where you show your face to share the person behind the brand. It is also the place to share stories about yourself, so they feel like they want to know more about you, and work with you.

5. Customer

This is where you share your customers with your product or their testimonials. It is also a great way to celebrate successes so that people want to come and work with you. Be careful though as customer-generated content can sometimes not look the way you want it to. You may need to create a new graphic for it.

6. Selling

This is the time that you obviously sell! The aim is to sell through the other types of posts as this will be less salesy. This works for time-sensitive selling.
