21 Ways To Share Your Lead Magnet Or Opt In To Grow Your Mailing List

This week has been all about creating Opt Ins or Lead Magnets here at The Indie Practice. We have created a competition for one client - landing page and nurture sequence (the emails that the signed up people get afterwards) and designed a PDF guide for another. Plus we have been developing ours - we now have our Creative Content Calendar and our 15 Ways To Blog guide (click on the links and sign up!). However, what we are asked once we have created them is - what next? This is where you need to share the hell out of them other wise it was totally useless creating them! Here are just a few ideas (21!) of where you can share your Lead Magnet to grow your mailing list..

This posts contains affiliate links.

  • Share your lead magnet to your audience often on Facebook, Instagram, Stories and Twitter.

  • Create a Cover Photo banner (use Canva for this!) for Facebook and Twitter.

  • Pin a post about it to the top of Twitter and Facebook

  • Add it to your email signature

  • Create Pinterest graphics and pin regularly linking to the Lead magnet landing page. Schedule using Tailwind.

  • Add the Lead Magnet in your Pinterest bio with a clear Call To Action. Do the same for all social media too.

  • Start to share it (in a non spammy way) in Facebook groups and Twitter Chats

  • Create a Facebook live sharing the features and benefits

  • Instead of sharing your website URL to people, point them to your landing page

  • Create a short video of the Lead Magnet and add subtitles using apps like Kapwing

  • Add a pop up window on your website.

  • Add a widget down the side bar of your website to it too.

  • While your at it, why not add a static pop up underneath every blog post or page

  • Send an email to your existing list to see if they are interested.

  • Write a blog post about it with links to the sign up landing page

  • Write a guest blog or podcast interview and share the link.

  • Add it to traditional marketing such as business cards and flyers

  • Share it to your Facebook group if you have one

  • Add it to your Out Of Office message on email and on Messenger and What’s App

  • Tell everyone you meet, ask people to share it and don’t forget personal social pages too!

  • Run a Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest advert

You have to keep on sharing it, to get the best results. The don’t forget, when people have signed up that you need to email them! Ask us how we can help you with this - as part of our Marketing VA services we can help drive your list numbers up!
